1. Visit the CN Tower

You can’t come to Toronto and not visit one of it’s most iconic structures, the CN Tower. The CN Tower is one of Canada’s national icons and a must-see attraction in Toronto. The tower is 533 meters/1,815 feet tall. It is the 3rd tallest tower in the world and gives you gorgeous views of downtown Toronto and the surrounding areas.  It features an award winning restaurant at the top of the tower, which you can only get to by ridding the Tower’s glass fronted and glass floor elevators. The elevators shoot up the tower at an incredible speed and get you up to the top in only 58 seconds! There is the Look Out Level, Glass Floor, and Outdoor Sky Terrace. SkyPod is the highest observation point on the tower where you can see up to 160 kilometers/100 miles on a clear day. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, EdgeWalk is the newest experience. You can walk hands-free along the edge of a platform while connected to a harness and trolley system. The walk takes place 365 meters/1,168 feet up and is about 20-30 minutes long. The tower also features three dining locations. 360 offers a fine dining experiencing with revolving views of the city. Horizons is a family friendly casual dining with a seasonal menu. Le Café is at the base of the tower with grab-and-go items. 3. Toronto Zoo

Of all the Zoos in Canada, this is one of the biggest and best. It showcases over 5,000 animal exhibits from all over the world, and has an award-winning gorilla rainforest. The Zoo is famous for caring for a variety of endangered baby animals including Siberian tigers and snow leopards. This is one grown up Zoo suitable for all ages, but best enjoyed by adults who can appreciate the complexity of the park. The Toronto Zoo is has over 5,000 animals and incredible exhibits including the award-winning Gorilla Rainforest. The St. Lawrence Market has been around for 208 years in Toronto. It is where you can find 120 unique vendors, merchants and artisans. There are 3 main areas to the market. South Market features food, art, and other goods. North Market is known for the Saturday Farmers’ Market that began in 1803. Sundays in the North Market feature an antiques dealer show. St. Lawrence Hall is the 3rd area that was built in 1850 and now has retail shops and city offices.

This huge Victorian style building has been standing ever since the beginning of Toronto, and is still being used today to house a variety of markets and shops. It is a significant architectural gem that will take your breath away. As you walk through the halls and shops, you’d be able to see and appreciate the years of history that have happened within those walls.

5. Toronto Island Parkisland-goose

Toronto Island Park is for the nature and outdoor fanatic. This is one of Toronto’s hidden gems that will leave you speechless. The park consists of four main islands and has walking trails, beaches, and rides.  You can take the ferry to the island and you can see the harbour views of Toronto. Pack a small picnic lunch and make an afternoon of it.  There is also an area for children with rides. For adults you can rent bicycles or just walk around the park. 6. Distillery District

The Distillery District opened in 2003 in an abandoned historic district in Old Toronto. It is the city’s vibrant arts, entertainment, and culture center with over 80 shops and boutiques. You can also find unique bars, restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, and lounges in this fun area. It is easily accessible via Toronto Transit (TTC) so you do not have to worry about choosing a designated driver.

One of the more unique attractions in Toronto is Casa Loma. In 1911, architect E.J. Lennox  create this Edwardian castle on the top of a hill overlooking Toronto. It took 300 men nearly three years to complete the nearly to 200,000 square foot castle at a cost $3,500,000 (at the time). This Gothic Revival-style house was completed in 1914 by a Canadian financier who ran out of money and the house was later converted into a museum. It has 5 acres of gardens, stables, and an 800 foot underground tunnel. All of the rooms are beautifully decorated. This house has been featured in many popular movies and television. There is a café and an outdoor grill for your convenience as well.

8. Steam Whistle Brewery

For all the beer lovers, Steam Whistle Brewery offers tours of the brewery where you can learn about the history and sample Canada’s premiere Pilsner. This brewery prides itself on being environmentally friendly, so you will also learn about all of the “green initiatives” that are incorporated into the brewing process and in the building itself. Tours are offered 7 days a week. They are first-come first-served on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The brewery is easy to get to via bicycle, car, or public transportation.

The Royal Ontario Museum(ROM)  is one of Canada’s largest museums with vibrant communities, extensive collections and curatorial expertise.
